Create transparency on the garden while preserving the strict confidentiality of the workspaces. Such was the challenge of the agency Serero Architectes within the framework of the rehabilitation of the Embassy of Ghana in Paris….
It is in the heart of a private mansion, in the 16th arrondissement of Paris, which notably housed the writer Anatole France, that the Villa Saïd is erected. A unique place, made of calm and greenery, where sublime similar works coexist.
The 600 m2 building, which extends over 3 levels, required for its new destination, an upgrade to handicapped (PRM) standards and an important safety device. Here, the Serero Architects team was chosen for its ability to manage a complex construction site on a heritage site.
The reception hall has been redesigned to improve the management of visitor flows and to create a new meeting and videoconferencing space. The organization of the offices has also been redesigned to meet the needs of new workers (flexibility of teams, collaborative work, high-performance acoustics, etc.).
In order to achieve the objective of a building with very low energy consumption, several elements have been put in place: effective insulation of the facades and attics, the installation of a reversible heat pump with adjustment of the temperature, dual-flow ventilation and centralized energy management systems.
