Solognot gallery owner and designer Laurent Badier has been defending protean creation and collaborative projects for more than twenty years. His latest collection of seats, entitled “Les Adulescentes”, reinvents the mythical furniture of the schools of yesteryear. Zoom on a very colorful series halfway between pop nostalgia and contemporary design.
Shortly after launching his own design studio in 2019, Laurent Badier found an old school chair in a flea market. He then decided to reinvent the school foundations of yesteryear by playing with pop colors and contemporary materials.
Both playful and functional, “Les Adulescentes” is an original series made up of stools, chairs, benches and armchairs. These seats, created and produced in France, combine the know-how of local craftsmen with his talent as a designer, thus testifying to Laurent Badier's ambitions. In addition to the creations of the collection, the studio gives its demanding clientele the possibility of choosing the materials and colors of the legs, the screws and the seat.
Currently, the collection is presented in the premises of the Milord wine bar transformed into an ephemeral showroom at the time of the health crisis.
