A stone's throw from the old courthouse in Nantes (44), the interior designers of Urbanmakers imagine a green setting, where taste and gastronomy reign, all hidden behind a green carriage door. Welcome to Canopée, the new temple of cool sleeping beauty.
The program consists of the restructuring and renovation of a XNUMXth century building courtyard with a thousand lives. In turn, a sewing machine factory, a car garage and a wine cellar, it is today in a trendy brasserie that the address is revived, under the leadership of the Nantes interior architecture agency Urbanmakers.
Taking advantage of the structure's generous spaces - 350 square meters -, the project managers imagine a concept dedicated to epicureans, and propose, inspired by the many investments made in the place, an eclectic whole with various spaces. A bar coexists, a real invitation to travel; a comfortable curiosity cabinet; intimate lodges; a dining room and a terrace. Thanks to the huge glass roof suspended over the old courtyard and the omnipresence of lush vegetation, the restaurant blurs the notions of interior and exterior.
For the layout, the architects draw their inspiration from the codes of the great French breweries and decorate the space with structural elements left rough - concrete floors, stone walls - with more luxurious elements. The fluted velvet benches, brass and glass pendant lights, marble countertops and natural oak furniture are then part of this decor.
The result ? A timeless and elegant place in which to live.
