"‘The chair’ as a source of inspiration, a desire to create sculptural volumes from the union of individual units and a series of rigorous geometrical patterns. All these elements have driven Sara Leonor to create her first piece of functional art, Zeed, Sara Leonor´s debut design which will be displayed at Tent London 2010, from the 23rd to the 26th of September (Stand E26). Zeed’s original dimensions are 600 mm w x 500 mm d x 800 mm h. A series of magnets will allow piling the Zeeds to form larger volumes. The option of stacking Zeeds up, even upside down, supports Sara’s intention of combining art and functionality, enabling the display of this piece of furniture as a sculptural figure rather than a series of isolated items."
